2011 Highlights – Nephew

So, like I mentioned in my last post, I’ve been rather lazy about posting pictures online.  Since this is only my side work, I guess I have that luxury.  However, I excepting my last post, haven’t posted for about a year.  To make up for it, I’ll be following up with some posts of the highlights of the last 12 months:

Post 1: I have a new nephew!!!
Here are some 1 month photos.

And… since it’s been a year, he got older.

Here are his 4 month pictures:

And here’s some with his momma at 5 months:

A Glimpse at Summer

A busy summer has prevented me from addressing this blog.  To me, doing actual work is more important than displaying it, but nevertheless, as a Marketing professional, I know it’s importance.

Here’s some images I pulled from three of my favorite shoots this summer.

This photo shoot took advantage of my iStock photography discount.  This means that you can purchases these images online here.  Please be mindful that while these images are royalty free, they are not restriction free, so read the fine print.

I tried a few new locations for this shoot, as many photographers have begun to discover my other locations.  These are little more edgy than my typical Senior Shots, but still in line with current trends.

That session can be contrasted with these images which are more experimental.  I would not include images like the following in a session, unless explicitly asked.

Finally, here was a fun child photo shoot.  I love it when parents ask me to take photos of their children that allow to bring out their personalities.  Here’s the result:

Exciting Changes

I’m excited to announce that I’ve rolled out some new changes for Sarah Musselman Photography.

After much deliberation, I’ve finally decided on a photo lab.  It was important to me to find a lab that offered high quality prints, fast service, ease of use, and low cost.  Many labs offered some of these things at the expense of others, and I finally found one that met all the criteria.

This new lab will greatly lower the time that it takes to receive your portraits.  You may purchase images through pre established packages or a la carte.  You may rest assured that your photos are being printed on the highest quality professional paper at the most recommended lab in the country.

After I have finished editing and touching up your photos, I will upload your photos online where you and other family members may order prints from the convenience of your home.  In my experience, in 2-3 days time your prints will be shipped directly to your doorstep.

With the addition of this new service, I’ve made some pricing changes.  Most people will benefit from these changes.  However, if you had contacted me prior to this post and wish to stick with the old pricing, I will honor that as well.

Contact Form Fixed

I recently discovered that the contact submission form on my senior photography website was broken.  I’ve since remedied the issue.

If you have tried to contact me through this form before October 27, 2008 and have not heard back from me, please email me at photography@sarahmusselman.com.

My apologies for the inconvenience!

New Photography Website

After months of deliberation on what direction to go, I’ve finally launched the new Sarah Musselman Photography website!  The design is a much better reflection of my style than the old site.  It also features new flash galleries, that are easily manageable.

You can visit the new site here: http://photography.sarahmusselman.com.

Outdoor Child Photography

Occasionally I’ll have the opportunity to photography children.  It’s one of my favorite things to do.  The expresions of young children are so raw, their imagination so vivid, and their creativity so endless.

I recently stumbled across some photos I took of young family members at family reunions in the past year or so, and I just had to laugh as I remembered the stories behind each of them: the kool-aide mustaches, the role playing, the costumes, the poses, and the random breaking out in song (Jingle Bells in July?).
